Physiotherapy is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system. Through appropriately selected exercises, manual techniques and other therapeutic methods, physiotherapy helps patients regain mobility, reduce pain and improve quality of life.
Physiotherapy covers a wide range of services that aim to:
Physiotherapists use a variety of methods and techniques to tailor therapy to individual patient needs, including:
Physiotherapy not only helps with treatment and rehabilitation, but also plays a key role in health prevention. Regular consultations with a physiotherapist can prevent pain recurrence, improve body posture and increase the overall efficiency of the body.
Choosing physiotherapy is an investment in health and a better quality of life, regardless of age and level of physical activity. It is professional support that helps in returning to full fitness after injuries and in dealing with chronic ailments.
Special attention should be paid to delicate osteopathic techniques and visceral therapy, i.e. work on the viscera. Properly selected movement supports the body, maintains the effects of therapy in the office. It should be an activity based mainly on improving the mobility and flexibility of the body, quite calm, yoga seems to be ideal in this case.
There are two most common types of urinary incontinence : stress urinary incontinence and urge urinary incontinence .
Stress urinary incontinence is a consequence of weakened pelvic floor muscles that are unable to properly close the urethra. Leakage most often occurs when there is a sudden increase in pressure in the abdominal cavity, such as during coughing, laughing, sneezing, physical activity, lifting heavy objects, or sudden movement.
Other causes of the disease include vaginal or cesarean delivery, which may be accompanied by micro-injuries of the pelvic floor, multiple pregnancies, overweight, weakening of the pelvic floor, abdominal and back muscles, abdominal or prostate surgery, hormonal changes during menopause, chronic constipation, chronic respiratory diseases, lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle.
In the case of urge urinary incontinence , we are dealing with abnormal and excessive bladder activity, the cause of which is usually unknown.
