The range of the services:
To obtain your group 2 licence or to renew your existing license, you must undertake a D4 medical completed by a GMC registered doctor.
The consultation will consist of a medical history questionnaire and a physical examination that includes an eyesight test using a Snellen chart and a blood pressure check.
You will be asked questions about general health and other issues such as insulin treated diabetes, epilepsy, seizures etc. Doctor would need to make sure your health condition meets the required standards.
Vision Requirement: you must meet 6/7.5 in one eye and 6/60 in the other on a 3 metre Snellen chart.
Please bring your current prescription if you wear glasses or lenses.
Our doctor will complete your D4 form based on the answers you provide relating to your medical history, medications and the findings of your examination.
You need your initial medical when you start your career.
Then from the age of 45- every 5 years until the age of 65.
Then from age of 65, a medical examination is required every year.

At Medicare, we conduct your full HGV medical including the eye test. Your driver medical will consists of a medical history questionnaire and then a physical examination that will include an eyesight test and a blood pressure check to ensure it meets DVLA standard.
A taxi or private hire medical is an assessment that all drivers must pass before being granted their licence to operate.A Private Hire driver medical can be completed by our General Practitioner.
All current paramedics and ambulance drivers, including students, who passed their driving test on or after 1 January 1997 are required to pass a medical examination before being allowed to drive ambulances. Those who passed prior to this period will have the C1 category automatically added to their licence.
Do you Drive a Forklift Do you Need a medical for work with a certificate of fitness? We offer Forklift truck driver medicals with a certificate of medical fitness signed by a Doctor. Qualified forklift drivers who need to be able to prove to their employers that they are fit and able to safely operate a forklift in their place of work have to obtain our the forklift driver medical.
A Motorhome driver medical is carried out to ensure that drivers are in good enough health to safely drive. You must obtain a D4 driver medical to obtain and hold a category C1 license to drive a motorhome.

From May 2018, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), each patient having an appointment will be asked to consent to processing and storing their data, including the right of the clinic to contact the patient via phone, SMS, e-mail (including sending newsletters) or by post. The patient has a right to object to us using their personal contact details. Please note that this, however, will result in:
• the clinic being unable to contact the patient to change, confirm or cancel appointment
• the doctor being unable to contact the patient to discuss the test results or answer patient’s query
• the clinic being unable to send laboratory test results
• the clinic being unable to send newsletters to inform about our new services or exclusive offers
• the clinic being unable to send invoices for service received at the clinic
• the clinic being unable to send medical reports, medical documentation, treatment plans
• the patient being unable to use our credit facilities
• the patient being unable to book an appointment via our website
All information given will be kept confidential. No personal details will be passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company other than our subcontractors doctors working on a self-employment basis.
Clients/patients have the right to be forgotten. If an individual makes a written request to be forgotten, we must remove all data from our databases, which processes are handled by our manager.
Please note that we will be unable to erase client medical records, which are required as evidence of our clinical practice.
We will however, be able to delete individuals personal data from any email correspondence, booking and contact form data such as name, email, phone, DOB, contact message.
Calls may be monitored and recorded for record-keeping, training and quality-assurance purposes. You may, however, object to your conversation being recorded by informing our receptionist at the beginning of the conversation.
