Dr Emilia Gąsiorowska completed her medical studies at the Medical University of Poznań. She became a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 2016, and three years later she obtained her second specialization in Gynecological Oncology. In the same year, she earned her PhD in medical sciences. She is an active member of the Polish Society of Oncological Gynecology as well as ESGO – the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology.
Since 2009, she has been part of the Gynecological Oncology Clinic at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Teaching Hospital of the Medical University of Poznań. Her clinical work focuses heavily on minimally invasive procedures, especially laparoscopy, which she uses whenever clinically appropriate to reduce surgical trauma. This technique is considered the gold standard in managing early-stage endometrial cancer thanks to its well-known advantages: minimal blood loss, faster healing, reduced pain medication use, fewer complications, and a quicker return to everyday life.
Dr Gąsiorowska provides comprehensive care for women with gynecological conditions, including reproductive organ cancers, urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.
Since 2012, she has also worked at the Medical University as an assistant professor. She teaches both Polish and international students, focusing on oncological gynecology, perinatal medicine, and obstetrics. Her academic and clinical interests revolve around early detection and surgical treatment of gynecological cancers, especially ovarian cancer, and the development and use of minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Scope of services:
• Full gynecological and breast ultrasound diagnostics
• Liquid-based cytology
• HPV testing (virus responsible for cervical cancer and genital warts)
• Preventive cancer screening: breast, cervical, endometrial, ovarian
• Diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis
• Management of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ descent
• Personalised contraception planning (pills, implants, patches, vaginal rings, IUDs)
• Diagnosis and treatment of genital infections, including HPV-related changes
• Bacteriological and mycological swabs (including fungal infections)
• Cryotherapy for cervical lesions and genital warts
• Extended laboratory diagnostics (hormonal profiles, tumour markers, genetic testing)
• Pregnancy care and monitoring (fetal development, placenta maturity, amniotic fluid levels)
• Obstetric ultrasound
• Ovulation assessment via ultrasound
• Treatment of hormonal disorders including PCOS and endocrine conditions
From May 2018, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), each patient having an appointment will be asked to consent to processing and storing their data, including the right of the clinic to contact the patient via phone, SMS, e-mail (including sending newsletters) or by post. The patient has a right to object to us using their personal contact details. Please note that this, however, will result in:
• the clinic being unable to contact the patient to change, confirm or cancel appointment
• the doctor being unable to contact the patient to discuss the test results or answer patient’s query
• the clinic being unable to send laboratory test results
• the clinic being unable to send newsletters to inform about our new services or exclusive offers
• the clinic being unable to send invoices for service received at the clinic
• the clinic being unable to send medical reports, medical documentation, treatment plans
• the patient being unable to use our credit facilities
• the patient being unable to book an appointment via our website
All information given will be kept confidential. No personal details will be passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company other than our subcontractors doctors working on a self-employment basis.
Clients/patients have the right to be forgotten. If an individual makes a written request to be forgotten, we must remove all data from our databases, which processes are handled by our manager.
Please note that we will be unable to erase client medical records, which are required as evidence of our clinical practice.
We will however, be able to delete individuals personal data from any email correspondence, booking and contact form data such as name, email, phone, DOB, contact message.
Calls may be monitored and recorded for record-keeping, training and quality-assurance purposes. You may, however, object to your conversation being recorded by informing our receptionist at the beginning of the conversation.
