Dr Grzegorz Szymczak, MD, PhD, is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (second-degree specialisation). He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical Academy in Bydgoszcz and later obtained his PhD in Medical Sciences from the Faculty of Health Sciences of Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He is a member of the Polish Gynaecological Society and an Associate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
For over 20 years Dr Szymczak has been practising medicine in Poland, where he has run a private medical practice, worked as a Senior Assistant at the Ministry of Interior Hospital, and lectured university students. For more than five years he has also been consulting patients in the United Kingdom within the private healthcare sector. Working in different healthcare systems has allowed him to expand his clinical expertise and apply modern treatment approaches for the benefit of his patients. This is particularly valuable for women who prefer consultations and hospital procedures carried out by a Polish doctor.
Dr Szymczak has extensive experience in ultrasound diagnostics, including 3D and 4D pregnancy scans and prenatal examinations. His expertise has been confirmed by certificates from the Polish-German School of Endoscopy and Ultrasonography, the Polish Gynaecological Society, and the British Fetal Medicine Foundation. In addition to routine gynaecological examinations, he provides a wide range of procedures – from minor outpatient treatments to more advanced gynaecological and obstetric surgeries performed with full anaesthetic support. For complex cases, he collaborates closely with specialists from other medical fields to ensure comprehensive patient care.
He places great importance on continuous professional development and regularly participates in conferences, symposia and specialist training courses in both Poland and the United Kingdom. Dr Szymczak has also delivered lectures combining his two passions – medicine and music.
Patients appreciate his approachable manner, empathy and professional care. He believes in open communication and treats every patient with understanding and sensitivity, addressing even the most delicate or embarrassing health concerns.
Scope of services:
From May 2018, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), each patient having an appointment will be asked to consent to processing and storing their data, including the right of the clinic to contact the patient via phone, SMS, e-mail (including sending newsletters) or by post. The patient has a right to object to us using their personal contact details. Please note that this, however, will result in:
• the clinic being unable to contact the patient to change, confirm or cancel appointment
• the doctor being unable to contact the patient to discuss the test results or answer patient’s query
• the clinic being unable to send laboratory test results
• the clinic being unable to send newsletters to inform about our new services or exclusive offers
• the clinic being unable to send invoices for service received at the clinic
• the clinic being unable to send medical reports, medical documentation, treatment plans
• the patient being unable to use our credit facilities
• the patient being unable to book an appointment via our website
All information given will be kept confidential. No personal details will be passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company other than our subcontractors doctors working on a self-employment basis.
Clients/patients have the right to be forgotten. If an individual makes a written request to be forgotten, we must remove all data from our databases, which processes are handled by our manager.
Please note that we will be unable to erase client medical records, which are required as evidence of our clinical practice.
We will however, be able to delete individuals personal data from any email correspondence, booking and contact form data such as name, email, phone, DOB, contact message.
Calls may be monitored and recorded for record-keeping, training and quality-assurance purposes. You may, however, object to your conversation being recorded by informing our receptionist at the beginning of the conversation.
