Spyridon qualified as a Dental Surgeon from the University of Athens in 2006. He went on to complete his military service in the Greek Army, where he served as a military dentist for 1 year. After his dismissal from the army, he moved to the UK, where he worked as a general dentist, fulfilling his dream of working abroad.
His passion for dental surgery led him soon to extensive training on dental implants, both in the UK and abroad obtaining certificates in implantology from the Oxford Association of Dental Implantology and the Ministry of Health of Cuba. He then went on to complete his Master’s Degree in Dental Implantology from the University of Central Lancashire. Spyridon has been placing dental implants since 2013 and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), the International Team for Implantology (ITI), as well as an associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry (CGDen). Further to his implant training, Spyridon has obtained additional training in soft tissue surgery (such as soft tissue grafting and crown lengthening procedures), bone grafting, restoration of dental implants, cosmetic composite restorations and dental laser treatments.
In 2017, Spyridon was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education from the University of Bedfordshire and he has been an Educational Supervisor for young dentists in the East Midlands. Spyridon is currently teaching in a dental implantology course and is also a mentor for dental implants, listed in the ADI and Implantswiss lists of mentors.
Currently, Spyridon is undertaking a postgraduate Diploma in Oral Surgery.
When not in surgery, Spyridon enjoys acting with an amateur theatrical group, playing in a band and being in nature. Travelling is his greatest passion and it’s his life aim to visit as many countries as possible with his family and indulge in their culture and traditions. He is also a proud father of two young boys who take up most of his spare time!’
From May 2018, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), each patient having an appointment will be asked to consent to processing and storing their data, including the right of the clinic to contact the patient via phone, SMS, e-mail (including sending newsletters) or by post. The patient has a right to object to us using their personal contact details. Please note that this, however, will result in:
• the clinic being unable to contact the patient to change, confirm or cancel appointment
• the doctor being unable to contact the patient to discuss the test results or answer patient’s query
• the clinic being unable to send laboratory test results
• the clinic being unable to send newsletters to inform about our new services or exclusive offers
• the clinic being unable to send invoices for service received at the clinic
• the clinic being unable to send medical reports, medical documentation, treatment plans
• the patient being unable to use our credit facilities
• the patient being unable to book an appointment via our website
All information given will be kept confidential. No personal details will be passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company other than our subcontractors doctors working on a self-employment basis.
Clients/patients have the right to be forgotten. If an individual makes a written request to be forgotten, we must remove all data from our databases, which processes are handled by our manager.
Please note that we will be unable to erase client medical records, which are required as evidence of our clinical practice.
We will however, be able to delete individuals personal data from any email correspondence, booking and contact form data such as name, email, phone, DOB, contact message.
Calls may be monitored and recorded for record-keeping, training and quality-assurance purposes. You may, however, object to your conversation being recorded by informing our receptionist at the beginning of the conversation.
