How to Keep Your Teeth Whitened on Your Time
Keeping your teeth white is hardly a one-size-fits-all affair. Sometimes you have plenty of time to get your teeth whitened, and sometimes you’re just about to go out and want to do anything you can. There are ways to whiten your teeth on any time frame. Here’s how to keep your teeth whitened on your time.

How to Keep Your Teeth Whitened on Your Time Dentist Reading
If you only have a couple of minutes then put some lipstick on. The color of the lipstick makes the teeth appear whiter in comparison. Try using bubble-gum pink lipstick if you have teeth that look a little yellow. It has blue undertones that bring out the white of your teeth. Use copper or bronze if you have greyish looking teeth to whiten them.
Your dentist in Reading will remove the pellicle during a dental cleaning. This is a natural film that covers your teeth. Removing it makes the teeth whiter and brighter. It’s something you can have done before a big day like a wedding. Don’t worry about removing the pellicle either as it grows back by itself quickly enough.
Your dentist can have your teeth whitened within a week across two sessions. They paint your teeth with a 35% carbamide peroxide gel across two 30 minute sessions. This makes your teeth noticeably whiter. While the whitening effects of this treatment don’t last as long as a custom-made whitening tray, they do give you a bright smile in less than five days.
Whitening strips are best used by people that already have good, straight teeth. They aren’t going to work all that well if your teeth are crowded or crooked. If you are going to use them, then make sure that they don’t touch your gums. They contain an active ingredient that potentially causes free radical reactions when they come into contact with gum tissue. This is one reason to be wary of whitening strips and avoid using them if you think they won’t work with you. Another problem with them is that your results may not be even depending on how your teeth are and how you apply them.
If you’ve got the time then custom-made whitening trays are the most cost-effective (not to mention safest) way to get the best results. They can cost a lot but they can be worn for the rest of your life if you take good care of them. They work by applying a 10% carbamide peroxide gel to the tray and wearing it for a couple of hours each day. It can take a few days or a few weeks to get results, but they are great results that will last you a very long time.
There are some things you can do at home to get your teeth whiter in a matter of minutes or days, but the best way to keep them white is to have your Reading dental clinic make custom whitening trays.
